About the School of Modern Soul Science

The School of Modern Soul Science (SoMSS) is an online school and community created to serve Westerners going through a contemporary shamanic initiation journey.

It gathers together shamanic wisdom from other civilizations, along with the esoteric shamanic wisdom (alchemy, hermeticism, Rosicrucianism, Anthroposophy, and Depth Psychology) from within Western civilization, to birth a new science of shamanic initiation for the 21st century.

This science of modern Western shamanic initiation is comprised of 4 pillars:

• Archetypal approaches to Shamanism, Entheogenic Spirituality
• Pre-Modern Western Esotericism (Alchemy, Hermeticism)
• Modern Western Esotericism (Depth Psychology, Anthroposophy)
• Visionary Art, Active Imagination, Mythology, Mandalas

Together, we are pioneering what it means to be a "Western shamanic individual". Together, we are addressing the problem of lack of traditional shamanic elderhood in our civilization. Together, we are supporting a death and rebirth crisis taking place in our lives, and in our civilization as a whole. Together we are finding our individual higher purpose and training to be empowered to serve our society at this critical juncture.
